Annual Parish Meeting
The parish gathers each year on a Sunday in January to elect three new vestry members, recognize the three outgoing vestry members, hear reports from the various ministry groups, and enjoy food and fellowship. At the 2026 meeting (held on January 11), we elected Dr. Paul Beezley, Karen Berry, and Deb Saska to three-year terms.

Ongoing Events
We host events and opportunities for all ages to gather together! Explore what’s coming up at our parish.
Choir
The choir offers the ministry of song at our 10:30 a.m. service every Sunday and special services throughout the year. We practice every Wednesday night from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Contact our music director Michael Greenwood if you’d like to join us (256-435-9271).

Episcopal Church Women
Our ECW is an active group, with activities supporting the church and missional outreach all year. They oversee special meals and receptions, as well as the January Chili Cook-Off, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper (prior to Lent), and the Silent Basket Auction/Luncheon in the fall.

1st Sunday Breakfast
8:45 a.m. – 1st Sunday of each month
The men of the church feed the people of St. Luke’s each month (between services) with a variety of rib-sticking breakfast treats, including scrambled eggs, grits and gravy, biscuits, hash browns, bacon, sausage, coffee, and juices. They also deliver plates to our town’s first responders at the Jacksonville Fire and Police Departments, Jacksonville State University Public Safety, and Calhoun County 911 Dispatchers.

Coffee Hour
All are welcome at coffee hour in the Parish Hall after the 10:30 a.m. service every Sunday. It’s the best time to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. It’s also a great place to learn about volunteering opportunities!

Daughters of the King
The DOK is an order for Episcopal women dedicated to prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of our parish.

Beans & Rice
On the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am -12 pm, St. Luke’s Campus Ministry distributes beans and rice to members of the community. This ministry is sustained by generous donations from parishioners and friends.

Campus Ministry Canterbury Club
Campus Ministry Canterbury Club occurs in the Stan Easton Campus Ministry Center. We welcome JSU (and other area) students to join us for activities during the school year, and we encourage students in the JSU College of Education to apply for the Stan Easton Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded each spring.

St. Luke's Library
We also have a well-stocked library with theology books, Biblical commentaries, and children’s books as well. The library is available for private consultations/meetings.
